Room Air Conditioners: The Multi V Range From LGIn Madrid this year, LG exhibited key products including their room air conditionersat Europe’s leading air-conditioning exhibition, Climatizacion. Whilst there, they showcased the Multi V III system. The H-Inverter and compressor found on the Multi V III improves efficiency; reducing energy consumption by up to 11% compared to its predecessors. The Multi V System The MULTI V&™ indoor floor-standing air conditioner offers 2.2 kW of cooling and 2.5 kW of heating. Features Controls The weekly programme enables users to pre-program an on/off function for a period of one week, whilst also allowing users to run a self-diagnosis and set the room temperature for the programme. Group control is the ingenious feature that facilitates control of several units via a single device. Each indoor floor-standing unit is linked with a connecting line that enables commutation, letting your control up to sixteen units with a single device. Dehumidification By accurately sensing the room’s temperature, the dehumidification mode controls humidity without overcooling. Hot-Start Function At a preset temperature of 28°C, the indoor fan starts up. This averts unwanted release of cold air during startup. When the indoor-unit pipe temperature reaches the 28°C preset, the indoor fan runs at a low speed for one minute, where it then reaches its set speed. Auto-Changeover To maintain the optimum room temperature, the Multi V system automatically switches to cooling or heating mode. This is particularly useful when seasons are changing. Two Thermistor Controls The Multi V offers two points where you can control the temperature and settings – one features on the indoor unit itself, and the other is displayed on the wired remote making life easier whether near to the unit or not.
